Dyson says they should last two to four years.
That being said they are made in Malaysia which in my opinion is a step below China. They are good about their warranty so I would collect on that if you're having problems. When you're ready to replace it there will be a few more options on the market that are not out yet. I assure you they will be very good and worthy of investment. |

There definitely is a problem with stuff that is mass produced in low-quality. Yes you can have stuff made in China of high-quality. Example: my wife was made there and I can assure you she's of the highest standard of quality. But Dyson's point with making stuff in Malaysia is to take advantage of the cheap labor rates and lacks labor laws. I wouldn't have a problem if Dyson charged accordingly but they try to charge premium prices for a non premium product. |
