Many thanks, most informative. A familiar story of british industrial revolution development and prosperity in the UK'S "town of a thousand trades".

kind regards, Walter.

That looks extremely similar to the machines that were produced by CWS in Dudley.

CWS Dudley

….also made the cylinder 'GOLIATH' model for the Birmingham 'Bustler' vac co.

The goliath main body was sprayed yellow; being the only difference I know of to the original cws mock alligator covered cleaner.

Regards.

Agree with all that has been said above but there was another brand called the Eltra that fits in there somewhere too - similar to the Bustler. Were the CWS produced in Dudley or simply called Dudley as a brand name?

I am no expert on these machines, but the badge on the example in my collection says that it was produced by the C.W.S National Works, Dudley, Worcs.
