I mean the Chevelle. My favorite is 69 or 70 454-475. I believe that's the specs on the rare Chevelle. I do like the olds 442 convertible 1970 with a 455.
The girl I dated for a year in high school was runner up to homecoming queen. I detest that girl ripped my heart out. The sweepers are nice. I found a fuller brush company one from 1970s. It took me an hour to remove all the hair. I just wish it worked on hardwood. Les |

We’re getting off track here, but since you mentioned the 442, that was my first car (1966). Turquoise with white strato bucket seats and power windows. Got razzed about the fact it was an automatic. Red stripped mag wheels. We had Bissell shampooer that used that Bissell shampoo.

Can we go even more off track? My beloved 1965 Olds 98 with the 455 ultra high compression engine and photon torpedoes.

I didn’t realize they made so many until I looked at the spec sheets. I like carpet sweepers too! Sorry about the pictures being sideways It’s an iPhone thing.

Those LIFE magazines are a goldmine for old ads, in a huge paper size as well.
Carpet sweepers are a severely under-appreciated "vacuum" among vacuum collectors. Bissell made carpet sweepers since the gold rush days of the 1800's and they still make them today - I just bought one least year. Oreck, Hoover, 3M/Scotch, and many other come and go companies have made carpet sweepers at some point. They mainly work the best on "no pile" carpet and also outdoor rugs/astroturf.

I like my Bissell Sweepmaster. The Hoover is also probably manufactured by Bissell
