I just picked one up locally! Pretty good shape but nothing like that. I’ll have to put some work into it |

I continue to be amazed at how you find machines in this condition. Interesting if you look in detail. This one an early one since some of the color scheme (power nozzle connector and tab at the top of the power nozzle) were blue which were left over from the 1205 run. I have a Super J which was later and came with the PN4 as opposed to the PN2. Like both of those.
I have a particularly soft place in my heart for the machines of this genre since the Super J was the first Lux I bought new. Just graduated from college and could finally afford one. Went overboard and bought the gold B8 and L to go with it. Always went to the branch on Lincoln Ave in Chicago and bought directly. When I moved to California the branch on Victory Blvd in Van Nuys was my go to branch. Still have the B8 (which I just used to scrub the tile floors here during isolation) and got a fairly pristine Super J that’s back being a daily driver. The only problem with these machines were the hoses which just didn’t hold up. Those Super J hoses were beautiful, gold with a blue tracer but ended up leaking. I’d give a king’s ransom for one that still worked. Keep up the good work preserving the Lux heritage!

I stopped my jaw and literally said holy shiz.
That new in box electrolux is beautiful. I like the body color but the power nozzle is the stunner of the package. I never see NIB anything. I too appreciate you showing your beautiful machines. It's like what type of new nice looking car is neither going to show up today in. Great taste. Les |

@ Jon : Yes this machine is definitely a collectible item! My plan is to have a special legal arrangement in place to ensure that every cataloged machine will be handled properly. We've heard of the many horror stories of the mismanagement of prized collectibles during an event of ill health or transition, and by god I don't want that to happen to me or my machines. On a current note , I appreciate the feedback like lots!
@ Les : D u D e :-) What can I say !?! Your feedback has left me speechless as well! thanks so much Les! We each have something different and exciting to bring to the table , which makes this hobby so much fun! Thanks again for your kind words :-) |

Sadly the Aerus dealer on Lincoln is gone, as is the Joliet store we used to use. These days I get my Genuine Electrolux parts from the Aerus dealer in Hanover Park, IL. When all this pandemic is over I need to get up there for some more shampoo, im just about out and the genuine smells so much nicer than the Generic my local shop sells.
