I've been pleasantly surprised by the build quality and sleek design of the
Roidmi X20. it's a really good stick bag but still not a replacement for a full-size machine by any means.

Seems like a nice enough little cordless stick vac but it should have removable batteries so you can use it longer. Of course if it's dirt cheap then it's probably fine as is because it works pretty well and decent quality plastics. I love my Shark Duoclean x2 cordless with 2 batteries but they tend to be expensive and I bought a refurb for a deal. Be interesting to see what their next bigger model will be like.

@dartman I agree quick change batteries would be nice. That being said the battery seems to last right to the full line of the bin.

The battery pack does come out with just three screws of which I really like.
This machine is pretty serviceable actually.

I'm curious to see what the x30 looks like.

Those curious about the inside of the vacuum might find this video interesting.

I weep for people that attempt to clean a whole house with this heap.

Not worth it in the slightest when they cost just as much if not more than the name brands they knocked off and only last 1/4th of the time before it breaks. These vacuums do not last and because they don't have any QC, the battery pack (which is just a bunch of AA cells soldered in a series) could blow up when you're not home or asleep (it has happened - thermal safety fuses add too much money to the production cost so they leave them out).

It looks like this vacuum is just a identical copy of a previous model they made - the Jimmy JV63 and JV65. They changed the color and moved a couple switches and are selling it again for double the price.

If these cost under $80 - I would be all for it. But...

This vacuum costs $404.10.

Their previous model - the Jimmy JV63 - $228.79

Similar identical vacuums to this one (photos below) which have manufacturer warranties, a support network, and parts availability and quality battery packs -

Black + Decker POWERSERIES Extreme - $198.92
Shark APEX UpLight - $259.99
Bissell ICONpet - $349.99
Dyson V10 - $399.99
Samsung Jet - $405.02

Now, if you mean by "coming up in the world" that they charge $400 for a knockoff vac that cost them $20 to make that will last a year before it starts breaking apart or the little motor and battery cells burns out and get Americans to buy it - then sure, they have accomplished that.

Looking at the battery cells - they are a LG brand HE2 cell (the company didn't even use the nicer HE4 cell)(common in China) and they last about 200 charge/discharge cycles before they are spent. They also produce more heat as they are used and charged.

Statistics about these cells are here: batterybro.com/blogs/18650-whole...

So with the average battery life being approx. 50 minutes - say you spend 1 hour a day vacuuming your house and running the vacuum until it's dead. That means in a little less than half a year (6 months), your pack is shot, and you'll need it rebuilt or replaced (this is why it's so easy to take apart). The funny thing is those HE2 cells can be bought for $2 a battery.

I'll stick to my Kirby Ultimate G which can run forever, has agitation, 100x bigger dirt capacity, and has lasted me nearly 20 years so far with no service other than bags and belts.
