Hello Vacuumland I've recently rebuilt a Miele s6 Jasper.
Man what a cool little machine!

This was from an interesting please in time. Where Miele was trying to comply with energy regulations in Europe by getting rid of electric power nozzles and going to the most efficient straight suction nozzle possible. So the result is this little nozzle deep cleans as well as some electric power nozzles. Unfortunately they have since discontinued this straight suction nozzle for more efficient turbo nozzles.
They also equipped this on an s8

Ah yes I have the airteq nozzle it works well.
Miele in Europe now have upped the motor to 890w and it's supposed to be more efficient seems to be able to power the original turbo brush. I'm not a big fan of turbo brushes though the noise gets on my nerves! 🙉😄

I had an Alize that had this nozzle. It’s the one machine I do wish I’d kept. It worked really well but I sold it to try something else.

My Canadian Miele “FreshAir” C3 model came with that AirTeq nozzle and I find it to be excellent. Much prefer a pair of real wheels at the pressure point of the neck over a wide roller. And pick up of surface litter on carpet is excellent. The chrome sole plate helps this nozzle glide over the surface of the carpet, allowing you to set the suction power at a very high level without losing its ability to be pushed and pulled easily as you vacuum. This great carpet tool is one of the reasons that the American “Alize” got such a high rating in Consumer Reports canister vac tests: it’s one of the few vacs without a power nozzle that rated “good” for carpet cleaning!

The big brush pedals also make it very easy to reveal or retract the bare floor bristle strips.

I have an online annual subscription to Consumer Reports. The vacuum section is part of the CU's ongoing testing program, and since it came to the market, the Miele Alize with AirTeq carpet nozzle has been the highest rated suction only canister. Unfortunately, CR has really reduced the number of canisters tested, so we are comparing the Alize to only about a dozen other canisters by Miele, Kenmore and Dyson - no other brands.

Here is a summary of their report for the Alize: "This highly rated bagged canister weighs significantly less than most of its competitors but performs just about as well overall and its Excellent grades for cleaning bare floors and for suction are among the highest in the class. It's among the only full-sized vacuums-canister or upright-to post an Excellent score for running quietly. Its overall rating gets a boost from Miele canisters' reputation for reliability and owner satisfaction."
