I received my 2019 Sanitaire SC886F from ebay today! I already pulled the crappy new plastic topped motor and dropped in a brand new old stock metal topped motor. Looks great with all the other Sanitaires. My oldest one is my 1983 SC686B and my newest is my 2019 SC886F i just got today

that is a cloth shake out bag. Are any of yours top fill with paper or hepa bags? I want to convert mine to top fill while retaining the outer cloth and adding a zipper or buying a new bag that zips already. Any thoughts? |

on that. The source was a little sketchy. Have you seen the commercial 'double wide' Sanitaire? |

looking. If i had one I'd probably paint the hood chrome to match all my 886s and 888 but then again idk. I like originality. When restoring my 1983 SC686 and 1987 SC886 i made sure everything was new old stock and time period correct down to the white vg2 bristles instead of the newer blue. One day I'll have one of them double wides. First i need an 887 though. The only 800 series i haven't owned yet. I keep buying more 886s lol

There is an 8.4 amp motor that will fit your blue line. I asked and yes. I posted it in the other thread. It's the cheapest new one I could find.
I'm didn't read this earlier. There tends to be know it all annoying people in this section. Wait, I just made a comment about myself how ironic. If my eureka 7.0 pulled 142 CFM my blue line 141 CFM I'd imagine this could get over 150 CFM. I did own the 1030z that got 140+ highest of said tests. If I got machines that I worked on pulling those numbers I may know something. Les |
