My oldest is still my 1983 SC686B but my newest one has changed. Today I received my 2019 Sanitaire SC886F from ebay. I already pulled the new crappy plastic topped motor and installed a brand new old metal topped motor

Nice Is that it on the right with the red handle? Did you by any chance take a photo of the new and old motor side by side for comparison? If not, maybe a shot of the new one. | ||

Thanks kirbyklekter. Yes the one all the way to the right with the loop handle. The others with the red round handles are from the 80s. I didn't take a pic but i can tomorrow. I'll take a pic of the two motors side by side for you. The new Sanitaire is a Mexican Bissell Sanitaire and all the others are American Eureka Sanitaires from the 80s, 90s and early 00s

That loop handle says that Perfect and Sanitaire are coming from the same manufacturing plant or somehow intertwined? I remember when Oreck stores started selling this style upright...they were definitely Perfect related with the Oreck badge. Does anyone know how Sanitaire/Perfect/Bissell related? | ||

The loop handle on the Sanitaire is a lot different than the Oreck and Perfect ones. The Sanitaire one is fits my hand much better than the one on my Oreck Or101. The Oreck one has a weird shape. I definitely noticed the quality of the base on my new 2019 Sanitaire SC886F os nowhere near as good as my 1987 SC886B. It's thinner and cheeper. Sanitaire started out being Eurekas commercial division then i believe in 2005 was bought by electrolux and then Bissell bought them in 2018

Also they are not from the same plant as Oreck/Perfect. Perfect, Oreck Premier and the bissell version are made in the same factory in China and Sanitaires are made in Mexico. Sanitaires have been made in Mexico since 2004 or 2005. Before that Sanitaires were made here in the US. My new 2019 type F is Mexican but all my other ones are American
