Does anyone know how to get to the motor and fans? I’ve never fully taken one of these apart. It screams!! I know these were supposed to be loud but dang!

I got it now. I’ve been that far before. I’ve never taken the motor completely out.

These were cheap. Found my problem one of the screws vibrated loose. It has better suction now. Motor is still loud. Another collector told me the cheaper swivel tops had a single fan.

Yeah the shorter body ones had a single fan. I remember as a kid the house next door had a tan GE swivel top (just the main unit itself) in the shed and they let me have it. It had a hole rusted through the side, but it still ran very well. Seeing that motor brought back memories for me from 20 years ago!
