Hi guys and gals!
I just wanted to post this and show off what has been my daily driver now for about the past four months or so... I bought this off of craigslist for $40 believe it or not. I bought a new hose for it, a new elbow hose for the power head and a new belt of course! This thing purrs like a kitten and has tremendous power! At first I didn't think that the bag change indicator worked at all until I was vacuuming a very filthy bedroom one day with tons of cat litter on the floor and I turned around and there it was shining brightly!! Time to change the bag! I splurged and found on ebay additional wands including a curved wand and the well deserved 12" floor brush (which were brand new). So I've probably spent too much on this thing but it's just amazing! Oh and I wanted to mention that I use Kenmore C/Q HEPA clothe bags in it because they work much better at filtering the air. You have to modify them slightly, but no problem! |

That was such a deluxe vacuum when it was new. It's also the only Eureka I'm aware of that used a full bag sensor like an Electrolux. There's a tube running from the intake to the pressure switch so that if you put your hand over the end of the hose, the light doesn't light. That way, when the light is on, the bag is actually full. There was only one version slightly higher in price, and that was the all chrome and blue model.
Nice cleaner. Glad you're using HEPA bags in it. |
