This may not be the exact problem you are having however it's worth watching this video. At least you can see how to the get the power head apart. It maybe the micro switch or a loose wire as suggested in this video.

I have the same problem with my Shark Navigator. The brush will cut off if you turn it right or backwards. It only comes on fully upright and fully left.
It is just dirt and grime buildup on the contact terminals in the swivel portion that allows it to maintain power while rotating, you shouldn't have to buy any parts. Just some electrical contact cleaner or rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip. If you damage the powerhead taking it apart, then you did something wrong. There's two screws hidden under the front guide wheels, and all the rest of the screws are accessible clearly. Remember that sometimes wires are taped or clipepd into the housing so be careful when lifting the cover apart as well. You must take the powerhead off before dismantling it too. |
