Here's one I've never seen before. Clearly it's a re-badged Atlas or Jet 99 but with some differences. CLICK HERE TO GO TO electrolux137's LINK on eBay |

I have that machine in green as a Jet 99. You can tell the first ones because of the sliding cover over the blower outlet.
The seller of that machine is somewhat dishonest. He originally listed that machine on eBay with a low starting bid. Since almost no one knows what it is, the highest bid on it was $50 when the seller cancelled the auction and relisted the machine at the $199 price. With a Sixty Dollar shipping cost, it's just too high for a mediocre vacuum that no one cares about. I like the red color though. |

Fortunately, this 'gas can' vac wasn't designed with superfluous clutter like wheels, attachments, or a cord rewind. Plus it can easily be re-purposed. |

The Whirlwind was a product of the early 1950's. The machine has two 'runners' on the bottom to allow the machine to be easily pulled, and it will also turn on a dime. I have rebuilt the motor in my Jet 99, so I know what an absolute bitch it is to take it apart and work on it. The motor is vertical in the rear, and the bag is vertical in the front. There is a 'tray' that connects the bag chamber to the motor intake. When the exhaust cover is in place, the exhaust air come out the bottom through the slits. It's a cool but overbuilt vacuum.
