I wouldn't spend $180 on any Fantom if it wasn't NIB, especially the notoriously problematic Wildcat! eBay vac pricing has gotten a bit ridiculous in recent years.

Yeah I seen that back in the late summer, someone linked to it. Crazy price. It is rare - but with NLA parts and who knows where to find more, you're basically buying a decoration. Maybe for $76 would be a better deal.

I have seen this Wildcat on eBay before, initially at an outrageous price, which has gradually dropped over time. Due to the Wildcat's rarity, replacement parts for it are very difficult to find. Even so, the machine is fragile and apparently doesn't clean very well. Is is true that the Wildcat has very poor emissions?

Quick flashback: In early 2011, FantomVacuumFan on YouTube bought a green Fantom Wildcat on eBay for a cheap price. However, once it arrived, the handle was broken off! UPS apparently placed the box on the wrong side during shipping. But he was able to make a demonstration video anyway. He was unable to fix it himself, and a replacement handle was impossible to find, so he returned the vacuum for a full refund.

Here are the videos on his first Wildcat.

I had three but sold the one that needed a brush roller bearing. I have a blue and a green one at present. It’s not that bad. The Westinghouse unplugged would have most of the necessary parts if you could find one except the motors most likely wouldn’t work due to the battery vs AC.
