Shane,

I think what you have is actually a Vac-U-Ette Electric. The first Kirby-brand vacuum did not show up until the Kirby Model C came out in 1934.

I hope for all that is good it wasn't rebuilt by Kirby with sanitronic colors.
If it is it's not really worth much.

If it is from 1925 it would be a Scott Fetzer Vacuette Electric, the Scott Fetzer Sanitation System didn't come along till 1928. The first Kirby was the C in 1934 or 1935, so if it's branded as a Kirby it definitely is NOT from 1925.

Shane,

What you have is a Kirby Model C, the very first in the line with the Kirby name, dating from 1934 to 1939.

Very nice! They sell black replacement cords on ebay, although you will need a special bag with the smaller spring if you want a black replacement.

very nice kirby model c. those are very hard to find with the attachments and manual even without the original bag. if kirby rebuilt it and removed the original reiveted on builders plate. it wont be worth as much. people will stay pay a decent amount if they want it, but being factory rebuilt they remove original components such as the cord and switches that hurt value.

that's not a factory rebuild either unless they have a rebuild data plate on it. that bag and the cord arent what it would come with a rebuild. it wouldve had a black bag and black cord coming from kirby. that's a bojack vac shop bag.

It looks like either 2c or 3c. The vacuum Adam bomb goes to tom gaskos vacuum museum and vacuums fairly often.
I want to say it's early 2c.
The manual is rare, the handle is rare. The bag is early 500 series Bojack bag.
Your lucky the vacuum is sanitroniized vacuum.
Could you post a pic of the model plate.
Les

Thanks for the pic.
It's original plate so rebuild may have been done by a high level/expert builder. It's refreshing to see the plate as Kirby didn't want to ruin a high dollar machine. Kirby rebuilds usually look like one in picture attached. I believe it was rebuilt and glad it's in condition you have it in.
With the original plate, handle, emtor, wheels, belt cover and the headlight that is most desireable feature of pre war Kirby's, you have quite a valuable vacuum.
I myself couldn't set a value on it. It's on people's want but never will find list. If I had money I'd make an offer.
I imagine if you posted in supermarket forum here, you could get good money. Ebay would cost almost half of what you would sale it for. This is a vacuum forum and there are quite a few people here who are well off and would buy it from you. You would be well compensated.
Happy Holidays

I believe that machine was rebuilt by a Kirby distributor in Ohio - not the Factory. They would have never sent it back with the original serial number plate. And they would not have used a bojack bag. Still, it's rare. Definitely a model 1C. My 1C is on the left in this picture, taken a few weeks ago in my vacuum store.

That's the vacuum I mentioned Adam.
The nozzle trim, belt cap, bag, cord, handle, vulcanized bag topper similar to my 505s, circular hammerhead hood, handle tube, light, it might be the nicest Kirby I've seen. Nice 1c

The last photo, with the Avalir. It’s a nice machine for sure, but imagine how much nicer it’d be if it were polished up to its former glory, then it would truly be museum quality.
