Well, I am visiting my family for Thanksgiving. That means, of course, I get to use the vacuums I left in my former bedroom’s closet!
Today, I broke out my Legacy 820 and Kirby GSix 2001. I hadn’t used a Kirby since I got “burned out” on them last year. That happens after you’ve had like 10 of them. Anyways, the GSix was great! I had forgotten how nice the G-series Kirbys can be to use. No pics of my 2001, yet.

Glad to hear I’m not the only one. Haha.
Here is my GSix. It’s no Royal or Sanitaire, but it’s not a bad vacuum either, especially after I put a new “stiff oblique” brush bar in it. I’ve always liked the “drumming” sound these rollers make. |

I did mine earlier this week but at least I took this photo today. I usually vacuum my grandpa's log cabin almost every year with his Kenmore 2621 canister made by Panasonic. I'm not really a canister person myself but I still really enjoy using this. Still looks and works like new.

I ran the 1951 Lewyt model 55, equipped with a genuine Lewyt See-Thru Speed Sak (thank you Hans Craig) paired up with the Perfect Battery Power Nozzle. So quiet. So 1950's vintage. And yet, it cleans the rugs better today than it ever did when new. My Mother-In-Law even commented how nice the vacuum lines were in the carpets.

The vacuum I used was my çxl from TriStar
I used the Patriot power nozzle. I believe it's a wessell werk. Get a snag with the rug with the Patriot power nozzle I'd have to turn out the vacuum press reset button on the brush roll turn it back on. That got to be a pain in my. Get an entire bag on my tristar when I vacuumed it was literally to the top. Les |

When all our guests left on Sunday, my husband surprised me with a new vacuum he had bought for me. The Sanitaire EON. He did a little Black Friday shopping early. I love the color.

@panasonicvac—My grand uncle used to have a vacuum much like that one. When I was not much older than 6, I’d guess, I tripped a breaker playing with it in his basement. There was a family reunion going on upstairs, and I ‘plunged them all into darkness.’ Lol
@Kloveland—Thank you! :) Regina housekeeper is a rare vac, no? Strangely, the Ace Hardware by my folks place still has bags for those machines and many other older vacs! Go figure. @Lesinutah—Sounds like the rug really was in need of a good clean. I’m glad to hear that your Tristar and Patriot nozzle were up to the task. @Dysonman1–What a great surprise your husband gave you! I agree, the blue is very sharp. I was torn between the Blue EON and the Sebo X7 Premium. Although I eventually decided on the X7, I have a lot of respect for that Sanitaire. I’d take it over it’s closest competitor, the Sebo G. @‘hoove Today I, too, broke out a Convertible—well, Guardsman—to clean my place. This is my NIB C1631, and it worked a treat on my new home. It was so strange to me to unbox an unused “Decade 80,” but I had a blast with it! Incidentally, this discontinued vac, which I bought from (I think) a liquidator, has NO serial number! That part of the tag is just blank. This is very strange to me. I figure that I bought either some kind of pre-production unit or a vac which Hoover quality control must’ve deemed a ‘bad egg’ for some reason. Hopefully the former. 😅 The vac works great, anyways.
