Why, yes, as a matter of fact, I can guess. Doesn't mean I have any hope of being correct.

The above two messages goes for me too.

I mean If I was going to guess based on these photos I'd say it's a part of the Titanic. haha

ok

Anyways here it is. It does look like it was on the Titanic lol. It does not run(yet) due to the motor being frozen. This one is pretty cool, as it has a switch on the tip of the handle like an Apex.

The bag is a NOS Henry Company dust proof. The bag on it was a 1950s bojack that had ripped in two! The motor seems to be loosening up as well. I will post more pics later when I get it completely unstuck. Happy Thanksgiving!

ITS ALIVE!!!

hoover300's profile picture
Rewired it, scraped off most of the corrosion, and unstuck the motor today. It still needs more oil as it scrapes when it runs down, but sounds great when up to speed. It is very quiet! Now I just need to unstick the friction drive roller and replace the rear wheel (it is rusted beyond repair). Something really cool is that the motor wires up by just plugging in the motor to switch cord. Here are more pics!

Nice! If it makes a scraping sound only on wind-down, it could be thrust washers missing or worn.

I have two Torrington’s. One belonged to the late Stan Kann. They both run and are in excellent condition.

Wow... Nice! Can you post a pic of the back wheel? The one on mine is rusted beyond repair and would be nice to see what the wheel would look like to find a good replacement. BTW I think the bag on the right one is backwards. Thanks!
