I was briefly tempted by that Epic 6500 in picture #5.
It looks pretty complete, and it's probably a half an hour from me.
But, I already have one of that same color combination, and three 6500s and one Ambassador for plastic bodied Electroluxes.
Plus, it shows tape where the wands connect, and around one of the attachments; possibly the power nozzle neck, if I recall correctly.
I wouldn't be able to leave well enough alone. I'd have to track down correct wands for it, and whatever else is worn out.

It might be a good parts machine.

Can't really beat that price.

That was like the best color combination Electrolux had, especially on the Ultralux.

Elux 6500

This does look complete and it mentions bags that could be worth more than asking price. The tape in those positions would probably only be a simple matter of replacing the small latch button on which the tips often break off.Likely a good vac.(Not all of hose is visible but easy to replace if badly worn.)

Electrolux hardly ever changed their bag design so they should all work. I have a pack of Electrolux canister bags somewhere that lists like 8-10 different models on the front. I think the seller just means that the 100pk. of bags would be worth more than the vacuum if you sold them individually as the pack or one by one.

Also I dunno if it's just me, but the Electrolux 6500 in that color with its shape reminded me of those old conversion vans with the roof cap.

YES !

I knew there was something.... but never gave it that much thought. lol

At the risk of besmirching this otherwise fine vacuum....

All it needs are some hippie 70s teens, lot of drugs, sex, drinking, smoking....and...of course the doors and front wheels. lol

I can smell it now, the ....
nylon from the gold shag carpet on the walls, ceiling, and floor
the alcohol spilled on said carpet
the residue cigarette smoke
the residual pot smoke

I can see the....
the used condoms
the balled up blankets
the beer can pull tabs linked together to form a chain and hung on walls
the poorly lit interior with random garbage
the metal sided coleman cooler

As for the murders? what do you expect? lol
.
.
.

...or it could just be a handicap van. lol

frankly, it looks like the tool tray is an after thought and should be removable, but we all know it's not readily removable. So its kind of a deceptive design.

haha nice - yeah I hope to find one of those Electrolux models some day. I seem to have an easier time finding the 50s/60s models than the 80s/90s ones - kind of backwards logic.

you make that sound like a bad thing. those 50's and 60s vacs will outclean and outlast anything you grey up with.

I like your check list on your profile.

Depending on how active you are in finding those vacs, you can find some on ebay.

Some 70s and newer vacs aren't all that bad..

To me the plastic models clean just as well, they are easier to use, lightweight and have filtered exhaust. I don't think the older models necessarily cleaned better. Check out Vaclab's DirtDevil video on youtube. It has comparable CFMs to a generation series Kirby. I don't think plastic vacs are necessarily all crap.
