I have one I have a few. I'd be happy to sell you one. If you also check your local thrift store sooner rather than later you would probably find one. The shipping cost and the park cost without way the value of the vacuum which is approximately 10 to $15. I was told from my local vacuum shop and from start vacuums in Spokane Washington that one royals went to China on a 2001 I believe that was the time that they were told to destroy all their old service manuals That's why you're not going to find any or many.

I'll get a picture of it tommorow. Been winterizing yard and house last couple days. Just got back from school.
I know I have the part I know I have in mint condition. If it's not mint I'll polish making it mint but i remember i used a 501 with blue bag and cord as a parts machine. I only took power switch and sold the bag to a kid. I have about 10-15 royal is have the part I know where it's at. I could mail anytime but my gut instinct is wait until Wednesday next week. Black Friday, cyber Monday busiest week of mail of the year. I'm afraid it would get lost . Email me at lesinutah@hotmail.com. Long day Les |

I am sorry to say that the piece shown in your photo is not the same as the one I posted. Mine has no screw holes and snaps on the housing. It measures 6 5/8 " x 1 15/16 ". Can you check out your stock and see if what I need turns up ? Frederic |

I have the correct head. I was. Moving everything to my shed. I have a big tote of royal handvacs.
Keep in mind your picture is generic photo. The one I know will fit I'll try to get pic of it on a 501 prince. That way the vacuum exactly like yours head may be slightly different or it was just in box and is for a vacuette I parted out Les |

I am sorry for not responding. Have you had any luck locating the part. Ben stated that the nozzle guard I need has no screw holes. Let me know when you can. Frederic |

I found it. It has the arrow where the brush roll direction. It has no writing on it. I put a wood ruler showing 6 plus inches long and I'll call it 2 inches. It came from a 501 prince.
I used steel wool got it cleaned off residue. It originally had a paper type gasket. You can easily make your own. I just wanted to mention so you get it original as possible. Im pretty sure my plate came original and the ones that have caution were what royal sold as OEM replacement. Les |
