Nice find! Should be able to do the entire house twice from one outlet with that cord, lol

They are so easy to repair. I like the simple Orecks. Not as bad as some people lead on.

I HAD to use one at a school years ago.

I chuckled a little when I read the 'tube', saying, "WHEN the tube clogs....." Not, IF, but WHEN. Not bashing, but, just commenting on the humor in that.
We had a family friend who purchased the top of the line Oreck. She kept it in it's green plastic bag all the time.

Nice! I had the household version of this same vacuum that I bought refurbished at Big Lots years ago. It was a great vacuum for low pile carpet and never faltered. Mine had the foot type power button on which was convenient. I have a newer Oreck platinum pilot which is also a great vacuum and grooms the carpets very well. I love the huge dust bags and they are so cheap to service!

I sell Orecks in my store. I love them, and so do my customers. The parts are readily available and easy to install. I don't sell ANY tacony products, so I chose Oreck and Perfect (the 8 pound commercial) as well as the Electrolux Fresh Era lightweight cleaners.

Enjoy your 'dream machine'. I love the blue color.

I took apart an Oreck XL recently - it's literally a one tool job for the entire vacuum. You can take it apart with one Phillips screwdriver. Very very simple to work on and everything is laid out straightforward so you can see what part does what job and how it connects.
