It wasn't a coffee can. It was a 25 upright.
Amazing to be THAT old, and STILL new!!!!!

Item was removed by the seller due to an error in the listing is what eBay is saying.

New???

If this Hoover 25 is "new" why would it have a blue patch sewed at bottom of bag with white thread? This may be a great low mileage, complete Hoover but NOT new.Needs better pictures of all areas.

I agree

But, as we all know, sometimes, people inflate the truth. They'll say anything to sound important OR to command a higher price for an item. It's an old trick. It WOULD be amazing to know that cleaner.
or better yet, Wouldn't you LOVE to call them out on it? Ask questions that would make them fumble? It's sad to do, but, sometimes, they deserve it.

I agree with Jimmy. Better pictures need to be taken.

How were handles packed?

phaeton's profile picture
So when one bought a new Hoover 25 with attachments such as the box indicates which is okay. Just how was the handle delivered to the customer? The handle for the 25 is about 36 inches or so long and would not fit in the box. It is not like it is a 2 piece handle. I see a number of Hoover vacuum boxes but I have never seen a handle box.
I seem to be still waiting on a call from one of the members for several months, but by now I think I have lost interest in the vacuum.

The single handles came separately in a long

thin box. That's one major reason Hoover went to the two-piece. It all fit in the box together.

2 piece handle

Yes, I believe the Hoover Model 65 had the first 2 piece handle. I assembled my grandparents new Hoover Model 65. Seems it took a long time for Hoover to decide to make a 2 piece handle.
I might be wrong but, I believe Royal had 2 piece handle starting some in the 1930's.
