Oh if I could purchase a Hoover like the one in the picture today!
I always thought the matching tubes and tools all finished in the same color were very smart. Also loved the hand grip and tool kit.
The dusting tools had very little suction but who cares as they were so easy to use with the long hose. It was for surface dust and dirt anyway.
Such a pleasure to use compared to the short hose that came with my family's Dial-A-Matic which also always fall off.
The sound of the old Hoover motor was almost soothing compared to my Dail-A-Matic or even worse the uprights on the market today.
Now with all the throw-a-way machines today, feel lucky to still have the 1972 Dail-A-Matic.

I wish the DAMs would have come with the Ultraflex hose rather than the tuflex. That would have been nice!

Amazing cleaners. they still work perfectly. I now have all of the 1950s series. Nice for the collection.

What model-29, 62 or 63?

John,
I was a little confused. I first thought it was an early model 29 with the colored tubes and converter without the elbow 90 degree turn and then I noticed the machine has a hand grip and the bag looks like it takes an insert. I thought the 29 had the cloth bag and no hand grip.
It does have just a 1/2 bumper too.
Could this be a 62 or 63 ? Never saw a 62 or 63 with the straight converter and dark color tubes.

The 29 is the red one.

It has the matching "Holiday" canister.
I'll get the true specs for the others.I know I have at least one of them all.
