Just came back from a vacuum shop's warehouse. There were TONS of cleaners, attachments, uprights, canisters, you name it. Almost entirely 1920s-1940s stuff. The guy was asking $25 each with whatever attachments I could find, so I came out with two Hoover model 150s, and an 825. They have a THICK layer of dust on them, but I think they'll clean up nicely, despite not having original bags!

Looks like you made a few scores! That place sounds even more fun than the Plano shop that is closing since there are much older machines to choose from. Hope this is far away from me as my collection is growing too fast......

You didn't possibly head toward Tennessee and visit a really good guy named Jimmy Martin did you? He has a HUGE treasure trove of vacuums and related items. I went one day to visit, and came back with a pickup truck FULL of goodies!!

Great Hoovers above--

--but not from here. All are welcome and MOST needs to GO.I have little time for the old shop but with advance notice I can try to have many items on any want list.Even if you have been here you do not fully know what is here as I hope to soon go in the corners and up ladders to more storage areas.
Back to the above Hoovers the 825 and 150 are examples of Hoovers finest before and after industrial design by Henry Dreyfus in the Art Deco era.

Is he closing up shop?

Or did you just happen to bump in to this place by chance? Good score, and thanks to you he now knows there are people out here that are interested in his inventory

Replying to others:

This shop is located in York, Pennsylvania! It's the Miller Bros. Vacuum Cleaner Hospital. They're not going out of business, they just had a bunch of vintage machines in storage and advertised them Facebook Marketplace, so I took a chance and happened to find exactly the machines I was looking for.

As for 20s/30s Eurekas, I don't remember seeing (m)any, but I wasn't really looking for them. My mind kind of went tunnel vision looking for specific things.

I'll link the ad here in case anyone local wants to check the place out. I already found what I'm looking for, and I'm sure there are plenty more treasures!
