If you don't mind me asking, why are you selling it? I couldn't locally pick it up, but would pay you $100 to ship it, that said, I already own two G3s, so I have no need for another.
Are you a collector? I'm just confused as to why somebody would want to sell one of the greatest pieces of vacuum history unless they already owned another. Is that the case?
Otherwise please consider keeping it and treating it right. The Kirby G3 is a legendary vacuum.
Hi! I read your profile and it sounds like we have a lot in common by appreciation for all generations of Kirby’s, but focusing our collection on a couple of specific decades. We overlap a little, but I tend to like the pre G3. The G3 was my newest until I recently was gifted a like-new Sentra II. I started to take the G3 apart to clean motor and check the carbon brushes and quickly realized it was more difficult than the older models. So, I put it back together before breaking or losing anything and decided it should be a project for someone else! It’s loud, sparking and smells kinda burny when it’s on. There is a small scratch on front of handle. Give me a few weeks to try and give it away locally and if nobody takes it I’ll send it to you for cost of shipping.
