I was looking at my 505 today. I noticed the trim is very different from the trim Kirby sales today. The headlight rivets on outside and inside are opposite of what 4 amp motors are. The rivet on outside or outermost rivet on inside is outside. The one closer to the body usually outside is on the inside.
It's also on inside lip if compared to trim with 3 notches it's only 2 notches and outside is one notch.
The wheels on some original have a washer covering most of the inner lip. I do remember reading and told that the washers were red.
The handle pin has a small notch Luke inner 1/4 of pin is gold colored.
This is small things I noticed that very few know.
I may post pics tomorrow.
The label on 3c and 505 have like gold color around the edges.
Les
