This was given to me by a friend when I turned 11. The motor is a little dirty. Here's some pictures of it. It has tons of suction for just a small 7 amp hand vac. I may upload a video on Youtube that shows it running if I get myself to.

I have owned both the original Scorpion and the later Scorpion Turbo (red, square inlet, came with turbo brush). They were very strong vacuums because they had an actual upright motor inside of the thing. I do remember the turbo brush not working very well and the unit getting really hot during use. I like the original Dirt Devil 103 more though.

The scorpion and dirt devil 2 I own. I notice dirt devil 2 agitates too much. It bounced Debri in path of the vacuum. The scorpion is good but clogs very easily.
I have a Riccar handvac, royal platinum force, Iona aka Regina aka fantom aka bankrupt. They all have I believe 7 am motors with a 7 inch brushroll. Kirby's have 7 am in all g series. Royal has some 7 amp uprights. The old royals, Kirby vacuette have 2.2 to 3 amp motors. I seen a Iona dirt raider on eBay last night. The Riccar will set you back 75 to 100 dollars. O got platinum force from thrift store. If you want power go with dirt raider. Les |
