Hey Guys!

I'm looking for a Miele canister electric hose for a model S246i in really good condition. Does anyone have one for sale? From what I have heard from a Miele dealer, these older hoses are no longer being made by Miele. There is also no known after-market replacements either. At this point, the only option may be to purchase a non-electric hose and use the machine for straight suction only.

Is what you're looking for. IIRC the Miele S246i Naturell came as a straight suction canister, but did have the port to plug in for an electric hose. No, Miele discontinued that some time ago (maybe like 3 years?). I would just use a straight suction hose or get a turbo powernozzle. One of the things I despise about the older Mieles was the cords dangling from the outside of the pipes held in place by clips that usually go missing. Very archaic, antiquated way of running a powernozzle. But, when Miele came to the United States around 1984, adding a powernozzle was an afterthought so that's how they did it for years and years. And the SEB-213 was never a great powernozzle anyway (which is what most of the S200 series had). Just my 2 cents.

Thank You

Thanks Hershel, for your input.

Actually, I referenced the wrong model though I do have the S246i. I need the hose for a model S248i.

By the way, Miele may be a great vacuum, but it's way over-priced and over engineered. Their parts and accessories are based on MAP pricing. I can't ever recommend this brand to my customers for this reason as parts always are in limited supply.
