Hi! I’m a brand new member and for my first post I’d like to say that I saw Downton Abbey, the movie, yesterday. There was a brief clip of vacuuming and I would like to know what sweeper was being used. When I can watch the movie at home I’ll be able to pause and figure it out (maybe, as it’s a British period piece) but just wondering if anyone knows???

Haven't seen it yet. Hoping it's good. Welcome to the forums.

I've been making my own little list of TV shows that I see vacuums in when I happen to flip through channels or leave the TV on. Haven't seen Downton Abbey yet, doesn't that show take place in the 1900's or something?

Also I think after a certain amount of time, PBS will put the full episodes on their website. They already have all of the Country Music documentary up.

I've seen the movie twice! Brief scene with a vacuum. There's a vacuum scene with sound and a straight suction machine, bag un-inflated beomg ppushed maybe 3 times...that's.
The vacuum is NOT a hoover!

Thank you for the welcome! I hope to meet some of you in person sometime at one of your meets. Yes, the show takes place 1912-1927 including the film. I’d like to see it again also! The Ken Burns Country Music doc is great. I’ve only seen two installments- how many are there?

I think it's only 8 episodes. They keep looping reruns amidst the new episodes so it's hard to tell.

Husky, I have several notes concerning things I’ve seen on TV or movies too! For instance, in the 2013 Liberace movie “Beyond the Candelabra” it shows a Kirby Tradition.

Was Liberace's cleaning lady. And she was one lucky lady to be cleaning with the very best! I could see Liberace's mansion cleaned by a GOLD plated Kirby.
