Do you suppose the carrying case is legit? Or just some random box the owner used?

Box Hmmmmm.... the box color seems to match the color of the "Cadillac" on the bag... and it does fit nicely in there...the construction of the box seems to be from that time period.. I'm guessing it is the original box But, only a guess | ||

I wouldn't have any doubts to it not being the original. The cleaner looks to be lightly used, and the box pattern matches that of the upright Cadillac bags. It does have some light mold damage but it can all be cleaned up with a damp soapy cloth.
The rust on the vacuum's handle mounts compared with the rust on the box latches both look even and of matching levels of rusting, so that box has always been with the vacuum wherever it's been. Original or not it is a great little box and it goes good with the vacuum. Sadly that price is more than my budget. | ||
