I've had my Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Lift-Off vacuum for about 9 months now, and it's still running beautifully. However, I just found this issue with the front wheels on it.
These wheels are getting tangled with hair, which is ironic as the "tangle-free brushroll" really does live up to its claim. Yet these wheels have just started getting tangled. I find it rather annoying, as I have to take a toothpick and pliers to pick out the hair so I can try and make the wheels roll smoothly again. The bad part about these wheels are that unlike the back ones, the ones in front aren't non-marring wheels, so they have a tendency to snag on debris on my laminate floors downstairs and cause scratches. So I have to be extra careful when vacuuming the laminate. And yes, I do turn the brushroll off. Anybody else have this issue with this particular Bissell, or just any vacuum in general? |

I took your advice and pried out the wheels using a flathead screwdriver. From there, the axles simply slide off of the wheels. I was able to untangle the wheels from there! This was SO much easier than I thought. There was quite a bit of hair tangled in these wheels, and once they’re clean, they simply snap back into the vacuum housing.
