Quite a few of us just finished a wonderful mini-meet a Jeff's house in Chicago. Many free vacuums were exchanged thanks to both Jeff and Kyle. Jeff showed us his new central vac that Owen Perkins had installed for him. We tried several power nozzle combinations including a Dial-A-Matic. Many of the PNs performed well due to the high waterlift of the central vac.

We also visited Mr. Fix It in Chicago and a few of us picked up some machines and parts that we had been looking for. That evening we had dinner at one of Jeff’s favorite restaurants. A group of us also had breakfast together the following morning. It was a fun time and I hope everyone had a safe trip back home.

shared a tip with us. She told us to save the pistol grips when disposing of an old braided Electrolux hose. The pistol grip can be reused on both Electrolux and generic Electrolux hoses. Bob swapped the pistol grip out on his.

'The First Lady Of Vacuums". Great photos. Looks like it was a triumph.
It's so nice to see familiar, friendly faces.

Mini meet

I love all your old sunbeam mixmasters. Too bad sunbeam isn’t still in Chicago. I have several vintage sunbeam products: mixers, 12,mm100,mm200 3223 hand mixer t20 toaster, cf cooker fryer, coffemaster perk,Crocker frypan. I use them all the time. Some are50-60 years old and still work perfectly.i don’t buy anything new anymore, just crap out there. I worked 37 years in retail and it was so sad to see the made in USA products being replaced with cheap plastic junk. I remember when sunbeam/Oster left Chicago. That was the end of an era. I grew up with sunbeam, ge, and Hamilton Beach,so having these old appliances brings me back to a better time. As one gets older you really appreciate quality.

It was great to see you, Kenny, along with everybody else! I came home with plenty of goodies, so I guess I need to find my Digital Camera and dust off the collection for pictures.
A wonderful time indeed, and I look forward to the next one!

Indeed, a Fleetwood Sixty-Special belonging to Owen Perkins. I was given the privilege to drive it around the neighborhood

I thought you were one of the 'undead'.
Fear not! Halloween IS approaching. Perhaps you can stop by for a Monster Mash here in the Poconos.
It DOES look like a FAB meet, though.

gave me this sweet Hoover model 25. It was decades ago, well more than 20 years, but I still cherish it. It had a personal connection to Jeff, which makes it all the more special. He's a good man with a ton of knowledge. There are several other machines that Jeff gave me, but this one is my all time favorite.

You'd be hard pressed to not get along with him.
And, he keeps the infidels in the back room!!
(Oh, STOP yourself). lolol
