I recently bought another Eaton's Viking upright vacuum and I'd love to know the model it would be in the eureka series because there isn't any information I can find with its Viking model number.
The model number Viking has for it is V4072. It does have a nipple thing on it with a number there but I can't make out the number that is there.
I noticed it's quite a deal heavier than my other Viking! My other vikings main base part that holds the motor is hard plastic but this one is all metal.
Overall I'm really happy with this vacuum and got it from a nice couple that sold it to me to $10. It's very nice and works very well!

Hi Ash,

This Viking corresponds to Eureka Model 2072 from 1972. Model 4082 (or Eureka Model 2082) would have been the same design, but with a CordAway cord winder.

It looks like the bag is a replacement - it’s meant for the Eureka version. The Viking bag would have matched the Viking dark brown and beige somehow. The Eureka bag colour was called Queen Anne Gold.

Thank you eurekaprince! I was hoping it would be you that answered because you seem to know everything about Eukrea vacuums. Also thanks for answering another question I had about the bag.

Ash, that is a really nice vintage Viking upright vacuum there! Arguably made during the time period that Eureka was at it's best....the 60's, 70's, 80's & 90's. Plus it's nice to preserve a little history from Eaton's too.

I have a soft spot for the brands from Eatons - my Grandpa used to work there. Grandpa & Grandma lived in North York, & virtually EVERYTHING in their home came from Eaton's - even their big wood floor model TV set! :).

By the way, the picture of your dog is absolutely adorable - he looks like such a nice friendly boy! :) . Cherish him & your Viking for many years to come.

Rob

I am actually lower than you because I am in Oshawa. Which sadly there never seems to be many people selling vacuums near me.
Thanks kirbylux77! Yes I love to preserve the history of Eatons, my grandpa even had viking boat motor for the longest time although it recently died. Not sure if it was tossed out or not. I should ask.
My dog is a girl although she looks like a male in the face maybe because she never looks happy getting her picture taken, it's always this blank face. It's funny because my old dog that passed away was a male dog but he loved getting his picture taken and dressing up. Dogs have wacky personalities. Dog hair is one of the reasons got into vacuums cause short dog hair threads it's way into everything and it's hard to clean.

That machine looks almost just like my early '80s vintage Eureka ESP model 2092, except mine is in green and white. Does yours have a two-speed power switch?
