Hey all! I grabbed a Perfect vacuum cleaner today at a garage sale. The machine is incredibly clean and very, very powerful.

When I arrived at the garage sale, I didn't see any Electrolux vacuum cleaner outside, so I asked if they had one. A few minutes later a lady came out with this cleaner that looks exactly like an Silverado Elux, but with Perfect brand name here and there on the machine.

HAs any of you ever herd about this brand? Are theses machines as reliable as Elux? It seems mine is fully compatible with SUperJ accessories.

Lucky! I've been wanting to get my hands on one of those for testing purposes! They're supposed to have like 130" of waterlift. I've heard they're not as reliable and I think they may have been discontinued.

I've never seen one in the flesh, much less used one, but I've heard those Perfect canisters are very good, just make sure to use their HEPA cloth bags instead of the Electrolux style paper ones, which according to my understanding is the Perfect canisters have enough suction to burst.

Perfect C101 1400 Watts

These are now around 1100 watts. Seems there are some retailers that sell the Perfect Model C103. Search for the Perfect Model C103 and you should find an number of Perfect Branded vacuums.

Perfect has been around for years.

Yeah well....

They've only been around for about ten or twelve years. This is their first lux copy. It's a copy of the diamond jubilee, minus the automatic control. The Silverado is quite different.

I looks a lot like a Silverado Delux, for the color scheme I mean.

I have two of them

I have the C101 which is their metal model, I think this may have been discontinued, it uses a two stage motor and it's very powerful. It's a clone of the Electrolux metal models and the Electrolux metal model electric hose fits it. Their Hepa bags are also very good. I also have the C103, this is their plastic model although it still uses the metal size hose, it's a one stage motor but it's still very powerful. Both machines are very good. They also make a clone of the Eureka Mighty Mite which I'm hoping to get some time soon. If you purchased that Perfect canister at that sale you got a nice machine.

Thank you Mike to share these informations. Back from the garage sale, when I plugged it in the wall and put it on, the first thing I noticed with this machine is how powerfull it is.

The body itself looks and sounds pretty solid when I put it up on its rear end, for example.

I bought one when they first came out. It had tons of suction, but I found that using it to vacuum

upholstery, the tool would seal to the surface, preventing any cleaning.....in my opinion. I knew it

also didn't have a bag change indicator and you needed to use the Perfect Bags or the genuine

Electrolux bags would just tear or rip inside the machine. I actually tested that and found it to be

true......the machine went to Goodwill.

PS I kept the Perfect Power Nozzle as it was made like a PN5 and laid flat to the floor. I use it on

my Electrolux Commemorative Edition.

Thanks Bud, Are you saying that the genuine Electrolux bags are not resistant enough to be used in this vacuum?

I suppose Hepa bags for Electrolux would resist and wouldn't tear or rip, what do you think ?

If they are the cloth type instead of paper, they should be fine.  DVC Brand makes the cloth hepa bags.

My local Vacuum Cleaner dealer told me that when Electrolux began manufacturing the Lexan models and discontinued the metal models, Electrolux sold the metal model patent to Perfect. Perfect stayed with the same design but modified the motor to a stronger version. Haven't heard great reviews on the Perfect brand. I'll stick with the original Electrolux.

Strange seen one of those in the wild. This actually belongs in the contemporary section it was made with in the past 10 15 years actually. They're wonderful little vacuums.

The Perfect does not have an automatic bag full shut off either.
