New to me, this awesome example of an original 1924 Vacuette Electric, which of course was the first electric vacuum model made by The Scott & Fetzer Company (Kirby). The Wireless Vacuette was still being made and sold at the same time.
The claim to fame for the Vacuette Electric was the ease of which the wooden handle was removed to add the lifter grip.

Note the oil filler tube, with its hinged cover flap.

Gurl! Look at that handle grip.
It's huge. And only 1 cord hook for the cloth 'lamp cord'.

Interestingly, the wooden handle is taller than the handle on most vacuums at the time. Well used and loved, but original. NICE to have the original bag with the original graphics.
It's going into the "Wall of Fame" section of the Vacuum Cleaner Museum. I separated my store (3500 square feet) into three sections for the customers. One is the store where I sell vacuums. One is the "Wall of Fame" with my top 30 vacuums of all time. Third is the actual Vacuum Museum itself, with hundreds of cleaners on display, including the Stan Kann collection. I expect the Vacuette Electric to be a popular machine at the Vacuum Collectors Convention here at the Vacuum Museum in May, 2020.

I don't know about restoring that one...
Ya know, if it were mine, I'd be tempted to leave that Vacuette as original as possible because it's only original once. Sure, do mechanical maintenance and replace things that need to be replaced for safe operation but other than that, it's beautiful just as it is. To my mind, the 'battle scars' have all been hard earned and serve as a testament to its authenticity.
