Consumer Reports rated it many years ago, I think they liked it.

Consumer reports give me rave reviews. We all know they are wrong.

How strange.

How does it work? I'm guessing the brush moves back and forth pushing things up the slopes and into the pans?

Guess

Either the wheels hit against the bristles causing agitation. The second could be like old Hoover worm drive.

The bristles flip back and forth rapidly to flick debris into the front or rear collection pan. I got to try one a long time ago, it didn't work very well, certainly not as well as a carpet sweeper.
