Today I feel like talking Dirt Devil's quick vacs. The most common out of all of them are the Dynamite vacs. Another dream machine of mine would be a Yellow Dirt Devil Extreme Quick vac.

I have I think a 2010-2012 Dynamite plus. It took months of asking and attempts of convincing to get one. I eventually got mine off of Amazon.com. When it arrived the box was all beat up but the vac was in New condition.

I got mine in November of 2017. The belt and agitator bearings were fine when I got it. The thing spins my Turbine tool pretty fast. And also has cyclonic action put into it. Below are picture of Dynamites. Picture 7 is the model I have. Picture 8 is the model of the Extreme Quick Vac I'd like to find.

I have owned two before. The first one was a Dirt Devil EasyLite, and I HATED the damn thing. It emitted an ear piercing shrill sound, it ate through belts like crazy, and it barely picked anything up. I eventually took it apart. Then, I trash picked a Vibe quick vac. It was just as bad. It met the same fate as the EasyLite. Modern Dirt Devil is JUNK! First pic is of the EasyLite I had. Second Pic is of the Vibe.

I have never tried a dynamite, but i have had more modern ones. They are terrible. I trash picked the first one, the only redeeming quality is that it is well made in comparison with the black one. The black one is EXTREMELY brittle, the dust cup broke when i emptied it, which is the reason for the zip ties. The only reason I still have it is because it was my grandmother's. The third one was the worst vacuum i have ever owned. It was cheaply made, had the worst filtration I have ever seen (it had a HEPA filter and still blew dust!). About a week after i trash picked it, it got scrapped. These are not nearly the worst I have had, as the current MOL and TOL Dirt Devil machines are much worse. At least these have height adjuster wheels though, unlike the bissell competitor.

I used to use

A Dirt Devil Dynamite back in high school; it was the main vacuum in my "high needs" classroom, originally purchased in September of 2008, when I was a freshman. It was a very nice and light vacuum to use on the super-low pile commercial carpet. However, the vacuum was very loud and whiny, and the filter clogged VERY quickly and was disgusting to clean. One time, during my junior year in 2010/11, there was a point where I would obsessively clean the filter, much to the chagrin of my teacher. In addition, the Dynamite couldn't handle large amounts of shredded paper from our strip-cut shredder. The paper would clog the main intake tube and one of the paraeducators would have to detach the canister, turn the vacuum upside down and bang it on the floor to get the paper out.

The Dynamite I used looked very similar to the one in RoyalFan103's first pic, except the handle is painted black instead of silver, and the cord is a lot shorter, at around 20 feet.

The colors the Extreme Quick vac came in, including the Vibe from crazykirbydude's second Pic. There is also an Electric sky colored Extreme Quick vac that I only seen the parts diagram and Model Number of. Parts Diagram and Model number can be found here -> www.partswarehouse.com/RO.... Whenever I can't find an image of a certain color or model of a vacuum, I call it a lost vacuum. Also, here's all colors that the Dynamite Plus came in too. The blue one had the manual height adjust. Picture 8 is a China Only Dynamite plus.

I was walking around Walmart today. I noticed a floor display of these vacuums.
I like the look of them.

There is one of the quick vacs under the name easy clean on Offerup. To find it, type in vacume or vacum (not vacuum). it should be $9.

I just saw one of the Dynamite units in the garbage today. I decided to leave it.

Yesterday, I acquired...

A Dirt Devil Vibe quick vac in a purple-blueish color. Some vacuum collectors say it's a rare vacuum. It has all the attachments and works very great. There was a clog in the lower hose, cleared the clog out yesterday. Got it for 8.99. Here it is next to it's cousin. In the background there is a newer Hoover Tempo Widepath.

I used to have one of those Vibes, not that bad of a vacuum. One upgrade I did to mine was fitting in a Eureka type EXT-U belt and that thing had the fastest brushroll rotation I've ever seen on a vacuum.

Did the Eureka Type U belt shorten life of the motor of the Vacuum? How long did the Vacuum last? Did the motor sound lower and strained? I may try it tomorrow with a Eureka Type U belt I had for 3 years.

And....

Was it The 12 amp Version of the Vibe? Or the Quick Vac version? There was also a 12 amp bagged version of the Vibe that looks bulky.

It was the quick vac version. The belt lasted for quite a while, definitely a lot longer than the Dirt Devil style 15 belts. I might try one on my original Dynamite if I get another EXT-U belt since those also take style 15 belts. But there was no difference in terms of bogging the motor down since both the belts were identical. I only had mine for a short period of time because I could never get the odor to go away since I picked mine up used.

Here's a video of my Dynamite, wished I still had my green one before.
