Here is my 1980 Rainbow D3A, new in the box. On Saturday, we had an Open House at the New Museum of Vacuums in Rolla, MO. Many collectors came by as well as the general public. I was introduced to a new friend who sells Rainbows by another friend who is a collector from St. Louis.

I decided to break out my D3A to show him, and it was an instant hit.

It is no longer a rug virgin.

I've had it a very long time. It was made in April, 1980.

I have both power nozzles. This is the Eureka-built nozzle that came with it in April, 1980. By October, Rexair was making their own nozzle, which I bought when it was new and still have in the box. That first Rexair power nozzle has four wheels, and you lift UP on the wand to release it from it's locked position. Those necks all broke. I never used mine, so it's still new.

The last time I had it out of his box, I took a picture of it in my former home. The complete assembly.

Many, many, many years ago I took it out of its box to show someone.
