My D4 just up and stopped worked one day. I’m hoping it’s just a loose or bad wire. I cant seem to figure out how to the power switch out to test the cord and other individual wires. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

"--stopped working--"

Check carbon brushes first.May have burned/broken spring. If taken care of few problems are major.Good luck.

Remove (carefully) the rubber gasket surrounding separator area.
Remove four silver screws and lift off plastic bottom cover.
Remove four silver screws (use long screwdriver)to separate top cover from bottom.
You are now into 'the works'. Remove the plastic motor cap and check motor brushes.
You can now also check cord leads as well as switch connection.
When reassembling, use glue to glue gasket where you removed it from separator area.
