just to see what they say. If it's any consolation.....the SAME thing happened with my Rainbow (non-electric) hose a long time ago. I was carrying the hose over my shoulder walking along and the hose movement from me walking caused the hose to hit the wall and the planets must have been aligned perfectly and the clip broke off from the way it hit the wall. So it's also a WEAK part on the Rainbow too. I just assumed it couldn't be fixed so I ended up just buying another hose but I got the 14 foot hose which over the years has been great to reach high and low without moving the unit.
