What is the scoop on Douglas vacs? There’s a product brochure on eBay and the upright looks very much like a ge that later was a premier. Did Douglas take over premier? The canisters look like shetlands. What’s up?

Douglas is a Scott and fetzer company owners of Kirby. One of first premier Jim Kirby helped build.
Not sure on cannister. Lewyt went bankrupt over filter queen copyright infringement. They got bought out by a sheitland who merged with 2 other companies. Msc lewyt was made it was almost identical to eureka. They made a stick vac sheitland pony.
The company stopped maji making vacuums and produced other items. They were a fortune 100 company.
Douglas makes janitorial items.
