I got three vacuums. A 1961 Hoover Convertible Model 33 which is all original (including the bag coupler/filltube) except the outer bag.
A 1961 Kirby 561 which is in very good condition and was factory rebuilt in 2000. It’s all tan but has the original belt lifter. And A 1976 Kirby Classic Omega which is immaculate and brand new again. It was rebuilt in 2004 and was kept stored away for 15 years. |

I'm glad you found a place that sells them! I've been kind of depressed actually not finding any in real life, I can only afford one every 2 or 3 weeks when I look on eBay. I mean I guess it's a good thing, but kind of sad. I always love seeing vacuums I never saw before. I've only been collecting for 2 years but it still amazes me how many designs and colors and styles they come in.

That is the coolest place. You know about vacuums and you get access to them. We should start a list of places to visit for vacuum enthusiasts.
That omega is epic. The 561 you can tell is Kirby rebuild as it would look like 560. It has new motor and totally redone. I guess you can manage to like it somehow. Im bringing up random thing but on 1 speed Kirby if you disconnect the safety switch. It turns vacuum on with direct power. The g series hose if you take off g series adapter and the hose or where adapter goes you can put on older adapter. I have a d80 - tradition adapter on g series hose. You have to use e6000 to seal adapter to the hose but it works. With switch deactivated the hose will work on 515 to tradition. Les |

The Rogers Sale is three hours from me so I don’t go regularly, but we visit family near there every few months, which is my opportunity to go. It’s an incredible place for vacuum collectors as there’s always something there. There’s even a vacuum booth in one of the buildings. The man who owns the vacuum booth (Phil) does Vacuum sales and repairs. He is the one who sold me the Omega. Here’s a link for more information on it. www.google.com/searchQUES...
As for the vacuums, the Omega I originalized with a metal fan and original bag. The 561, I put on the following. Red headlight trim, red power button, red grip, red bag collar, grey cord, grey wheels, and a metal fan. All it needs is a red nozzle bumper and an original grey speckled bag. The Hoover 33 caught me by surprise, it runs smooth as ever. It just needs a clean up. Here’s each vacuum now. |

You have the 508 manual. I'm jealous I have looked on eBay but hard to find.
I like the 561 looks good you even got the cord. On those Hoover's how do u fix the paint chips in hood. The Omega has the patch and original bag. That's awesome. Very nice upgrade on Omega. I like a amodel but metal fan is much cooler. Les |
