Back OFF EBay--

--as my new EBay seller left one part time job for another but then had a chance at a full time job out of town.I will ask all here later when I have a bit more of very limited time how to downsize a LARGE collection with many rare and desirable items.
If any fast fingered EBayers would like a near endless supply of vintage vacs to list let me know.
If all here prefer I use the scrap metal yard and dumpster for everything from Rexair A to Hoover Z let me know.
Any other ideas let me know!

It takes time to find buyers for things, you won't find them immediately. Not everyone wakes up in the morning with the money to buy a vintage vacuum or drive 170+ miles to get one. It takes me 4-5 months to sell things on eBay, as it's not common everyday things that a lot of people look for. Obscure stuff takes awhile to sell.

You can always put signs in front of your shop saying "free vacuums" and have them sitting outside. People would take them like candy.

There is also flea market booths and Goodwill or the Habitat Restore.

Not sure why you keep posting every few months about how much antique vacuums you are throwing away and destroying to the scrapyard on a site specifically for collectors of said vacuums - like you are bragging to taunt people or something? I just am not understanding the logic behind it.

Huskyvacs,

Let's take a moment to "understand the logic"of this. Also try to understand my so called life as I get older, tireder, weaker and closer to death with every passing day.I am working out of 2 buildings. The old was my vac store for years and continues as storage. It needs to be empty and sold to 1 of 2 possibly interested buyers. The new is mostly a book store and also some vacs sales, service, supplies.I have always read and collected books and now this has become a full time store.I see China and WalMart doing more vacs and I can do less.
"--free vacuums--"--I don't think this would find a proper home for Mo XXX Elux,Rexair A,B,C and MORE collectible vacs.I DID give(free!) a heaping truckload of modern vacs to someone opening a vac store nearby last week.I will later have dozens of useful bag packages for him at a low price.
"--throwing away or destroying--"I have thrown very few vintage vacs away and DO NOT want to.But is this my best choice??!!I have thrown away with no guilt feelings certain Shark,Bissell,Dirt Devil, etc. But I do not want to throw away the Bison, green Roto-Matic & Concept 2 that you and other may want!
"--site-for collectors of-vacuums--"Where else should I post that I have collectible vacs for collectors???
"--driving--"If I could have EBay or similar as I have with my long time seller before she became ill and died and as I was beginning to with my latest seller
my customers in Fla,Penn,Ca and more would only have to open their front door.
I welcome any comments on how to downsize a collection/vac store.Just as my gas station, electric company, phone company and water dept like money I would want a REASONABLE price for most(some FREE as above). We all see many vacs I would have selling at $30 and more and rarely for the best and rarest much MORE.

"--how to find--"

423-268-4841.Entering these numbers causes a vibration and noise in my pocket at which time I reach for my device, unfold it(it cleverly folds in half to protect the screen)and placing the proper parts at ear and mouth I can then communicate with people in many places as I do daily until between 5 & 9 PM when I press the off button only to turn it on again at 6 AM.Or I can be found by letter or personal visit at 431 E Elk Ave,Elizabethton TN 37643.(You may not want to arrive here by jet as it didn't work out well for D Earnhart Jr.)

Still available?

Hey Jimmy! I made an account to ask if you still had any older ones still available, you mentioned a short timeline. I live in South Carolina and could probably make a road trip up from there and would DEFINITELY be interested in buying a couple. I looked on your ebay account and did not see any listings, I hope I am not too late

"Still Available?"

YES!!!
You and even collectors who have been here have NO understanding of what is available!!!
"your EBay account"--Not MY account as I have had EBay sellers working with me until one died and the other left for a full time job.
There is MUCH here that needs to GO!At prices starting at $0-$5,some at $5-$20 and a few rare ones at more.
How can you learn more??By calling area code 423 then 268-4841.This has worked well today for both people in the local area and I have also spoken to people in N Dakota,California & Pennsylvania.

Again, these numbers in this order will ring my phone from on or about 6AM Eastern time until 5-9PM Eastern time. You can, as others have done today press or touch these numbers or if your instrument has a rotary dial insert finger next to these numbers and rotate or perhaps Ernestine can assist.I usually answer by the 4th Ringey Dingey.
