I have a General Electric swivel top along with brochure that states this is a AVC 815. The brochure has a revision date of 4-52, could this be the date of this machine? This belonged to my family while I was growing up. I believe some of the attachments are original.

I also have an upright Kirby, can someone tell me what model this is. I have looked for a serial or model number but can not locate it on the machine.

I am planning to sell both of these in the near future & it sounds like eBay is the place to list it. Any idea of what the value of these machines would be?

Many thanks in advance for any help!

GE/Kirby

This would be the 815.Next models would be C-1,C-2,etc.This would be the first GE 'SwivelTop'and continue through the 60s & 70s.815 price was $99 and reduced on later models. The 5 gray attachments are original with 3 being somewhat rare as later models combined the rug & floor nozzles into 1 attachment and the brush with short bristles was dropped. The cord, hose and chrome wands are replacements. The aluminum wand that could break after years of use would be original. Is nice that it has booklet but probably no longer has cardboard tool caddy or original box.
The Kirby seems to be late 50s and would have had model plate on bottom.Part of value would be original bag that is missing.
The chrome wands at right seem to be Eureka or Rainbow.
Even though they both likely run and clean much of value is condition and original parts.
Others will know more. These brands could be serviced/repaired to continue cleaning and would have some value to someone.

Your Kirby is likely a model 509 to 512. I think the name plate on the bottom may be missing.

I'd imagine the GE would be about $50 or less. The Kirby - and I know very little about them - I would say maybe $100 or so?

I would guess would be around $30-50 in the state that its in. I’ve bought several like it...never paid more than $25.

It's by wheel color and handle 512 513. I'm guessing 512. It has others signs that are 513 esque the handle and belt lifter were introduced on 513. The model has the toggle switch which was on 3 amp Kirby's. The 4 amp changed to chrome push button.
If it was fixed up you could get $50-$100.

I got my 500-series Kirby just like that in 2018 for $41.85 and that was with shipping. It was/is in worse shape, and possibly full of asbestos drywall or insulation powder, I need to get it tested before I even start attempting to repair and disassemble it.

If you clean the bag out and check carbon brushes. If you blow out fan housing and through the bottom by the wheels debri will come out. Just vacum and blow out until nothing comes out
The 510 in my pic worked it had no bag. It looked like it was kept in outdoor storage uncovered. It took a long time to clean up the very scarred body. It worked but disassembly wiring was done around the switch.
I find it hard to believe a cleaned up Kirby will run.
You should post pics of your vacuum once you get time to work on it.
