Was the first vacuum my Mother ever bought and as Jimmy said, was GEs first canister, it was 99.00 and She bought it in 1952..One of the best machines they ever built. |

If you clean the bag out and check carbon brushes. If you blow out fan housing and through the bottom by the wheels debri will come out. Just vacum and blow out until nothing comes out
The 510 in my pic worked it had no bag. It looked like it was kept in outdoor storage uncovered. It took a long time to clean up the very scarred body. It worked but disassembly wiring was done around the switch. I find it hard to believe a cleaned up Kirby will run. You should post pics of your vacuum once you get time to work on it. Les |
