Ofcourse I know i can go online but sometimes it's more convenient to go get them at the store, but I've noticed hoover y bags are extremely hard to find, all the off brands is that y/z crap which isn't right for these machines it's just weird there's kirby and oreck bags at Walmart but not the proper y bags the one place I've actually found genuine bags is at an ace hardware of all places and they aren't hepa bags any other hoover y bagged vacuum owners have this issue or annoyance

Doesn't matter...

Really the Y/Z bags are completely fine. Y & Z both have the same exact collar size, only difference is the size of the paper material. Going from memory Y is closer to squared, where as Z is more like a shortened A bag. In fact A uses the same collar size, again only difference is the paper. What exactly is the issue you're having with combo Y/Z bags?

Y bags are too big in my opinion plus y bags are designed for bypass machines where a and z bags are for direct air machines so they're not good for optimal performance

I've never seen a local vacuum store that doesn't sell them.

But if you don't have a local store by you here is a Amazon link
