I noticed they've reduced the price from $325 to $199. So I wonder if it's being discontinued.

I'm thinking these canister style carpet cleaner/vacuums don't sell very well because most people seem to use the upright style. I believe this is the only version we get in the United States, the tub style carpet cleaner/vacuums seem more popular in Europe and the UK than here.

It seems to have nice attachments like an upholstery tool with felt, horsehair dusting brush, etc.

Mabye or they could just have an overstock they're trying to reduce, i know Hoover does this from time to time via thier ebay shop

But i will say this if they're discounting this model due to poor sales it's really thier own fault (honestly the same goes for many discontinued models today) because i have not seen this marketed or in stores at all in fact I didn't even know it existed before this post

Summer sales usually bring big discounts because they overstock the warehouse for the "spring cleaners". A lot of people start shampooing in spring (me included), and it's usually when they find their shampooer they stored last year has broken due to improper storage or from the weather, or they just want to get a new one. Once the sales lop off after the spring rush, they start cutting down the price.

I see shampooer ads being pushed heavily in store ads in March-May then after that I hardly see them.

@fan-of-fans They discontinue this a long time ago and then have brought it back and discontinued it a few times. Canister based carpet extractors really don't have much of a place in the US market. I would imagine they're going to get rid of them again sometime soon.
