Several years ago (probably 6 or 7) I got a Bissell Plus vacuum at Habitat. It sat in my car trunk for most of that time until just last year when I got a new car. lol I started to just throw it away but decided it was an unusual machine, being as it's the first Lift Off style upright that Bissell sold, so I'd fix it up. Last weekend I started cleaning it. The base was really scuffed, but most most of it is coming off. One of the brushroll bearings was also really clogged up with carpet fibers.

Otherwise it seems to be cleaning up pretty well. It has the wands, crevice tool and upholstery tool. But the bristles that slide on the upholstery tool is missing. I think I'll just get a round dusting brush since later models had that instead.

Also since it uses the Style 7 bags like all the new bagged Bissells, I decided to get the Bissell Febreeze bags for it. I heard they filter quite well.

You are correct, those bags do filter well. You will have to give us some pictures.

It's a good thing I watched a half hour of these vacuum commercials a couple weeks ago!

I believe this is the machine:
