The 4 wire motor on my Filter Queen triple crown vacuum-Red died. I was sent the newer 5-wire motor as a replacement. Absolutely NO wiring instructions came with the new motor. Color codes match for the red, yellow, blue, and black. However wiring the white “extra” wire to the multiple white wire connection would ‘appear ‘ to bypass the high/low switch. I’m hesitant to SMOKE TEST any configuration until I get some expert advice, verifying the connections for the White and Black wires. My biggest concern is the fact that you ABSOLUTELY CANNOT replace the newer 5-wire motor with the older 4-wire motor.

If the old motor did not have a white wire, it's not a good idea to assume that the new motor's white wire is a common (white) wire. Unfortunately I don't know much about these machines, so that's about all I can say. You could identify the wires manually. Hopefully you still have the old motor for comparison.
