Hello! My husband and I recently became the proud owner of the 3 vacuums/polisher below and are trying to get more information on them. We may sell them but they all work! Found a little information on the Lark and the DAM but want to know how special they are before we decide. Lol we love vintage items.
Hoover Dial-A-Maric 1118
Hoover Lark 2940
Regina 3 Speed Floor Polisher and Rug Shampooer. We have least info of this one.
Thank you for any help.

I believe that Dial-A-Matic was the 1st one.....seen on Bewitched! The Lark is the 'other Lark'... made in England. They call it the "Hooverette". It was the beginning of the stick vacs!

John, I thought the Model 1100 was the first Dial A Matic? It looks very similar to the 1118 except it does not have the "bag check" indicator. I have one in my collection that is in near new condition, there are a few other features on the 1100 that was changed shortly after it was manufactured.

I was just looking at it. It LOOKS like it. I believe you are right about the bag check indicator, etc.
