Hello everybody,
A few years back then, certain ideas came to my mind about some kinds of features that should be incorporated in the designs of future electric nozzles. And finally, I made artworks about powerheads with such features and am willing to share with you all. The first page involves the width extension. Some of you may have already known that the motorised nozzles from Lindhaus and Sebo are available in different widths, but what if someone who buys a canister with the powerhead could get certain parts (sold separately) that are to be attached to the nozzle to extend the cleaning width allowing him/her to clean more surfaces with fewer strokes? The second page is about the headlight being an optional accessory. I have another idea but it didn't get translated to pictures. Imagine this. An entry-level powerhead that can only properly clean low-pile carpets were designed, like the SEB 217-3 for the Miele's and the EBK 280 from Wessel Werk, but then the owner has the option to get a height adjuster for the brush instead of paying more than $200 for a nozzle that already has one, when (s)he were to buy plush carpet or move to a home that has one. What do you think of my ideas? | ||

Not bad, but obviously the power nozzle would have to be purposefully designed in this way to have 'optional extras.' The thing is, I don't think consumers really like not getting everything they could. While in a way, this might be good for a company trying to sell these little up-sells, it might also scare off the consumer entirely, when they could go to another company that just sells one thing.

So do you mean that if someone had an option to choose a powerhead for a central system or a commercial canister and one choice were a nozzle designed in a way that extra parts could be added to it to extend its cleaning width, a buyer would most likely pick one of the 14" models form Lindhaus or the ET-2 from Sebo?

It looks like a good idea. My question is how are you attaching the extensions? Snap together? Screws to secure the components? Please keep in mind people are hard on equipment Some can even damage an anvil with a rubber mallet. | ||
