More from Bee Garbage! The vison works fine, but is missing several parts. The swivel glide was in horrible shape, so I took the blue parts and the handle and put them on a trash find swivel glide. The visions handle release is actually not broken! I now just need to find the filter door and an upper cord hook for the vision. Does anybody know where i can find them? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Just google the vacuum model number and you should find vacuums parts site that show exploded diagrams with a list of the parts available.

Here's a schematic for the Vision:

Unfortunately it looks like the parts you need are out of stock. They were probably discontinued over a decade ago. Keep an eye out for donor machines at thrift stores. Enough still survive that if you wait long enough you should find a good replacement part.

You should hold on to these machines. Those Dirtdevils weren't made very durable (although much better than what's on the market today) and have been mostly forgotten by the collector community. I remember seeing them on the shelves when I was a young kid in the early 2000s (although your's are probably mid-late 90s). It's nice to see that someone is preserving them.

I found the filter cover on eBay for $10.09 (make offer listing): https://www.ebay.com/itm/Royal-Dirt-Devi...

No luck with the cord hook, everywhere says OOS.

You might be able to find a random clip-on cord hook from another vacuum that will fit into that socket. I am not sure if they are actually In Stock or what size they are in real life, but Sears and Fuller Brush both sell generic snap-on cord hooks.

The actual hook for the DD Vision looks like this: www.ezvacuum.com/media/ca...

Thanks! They were both made in 1999 going by the warranty dates.
