Hey there! I just bought this Diplomat Lx. I had to fix the rocker switch to make it work, it didn't when I bought it.

Now I find it pretty noisy, and the succion is far from what it should be. WHat puzzles me is that it blows a fair amount of air through the exhaust port, it is just like it blows out twice as much air compared to what goes in.

It sounds like it's physically impossible , but it is how I feel it with both hands on intake and exhaust ports. Does it make any sense to you ? What would cause this?

Yes, tested with hose and a new bag. I haven't opened the motor yet, though.

Are their filters that need to be cleaned or replaced? I'm not familiar with this particular model.

there are no filters before the motor except the bag itself

Check the seal between the motor and the bag cage, it probably is out of position from when you repaired the switch.

question is... does it have the woven hose or the vinyl? I do believe these came with either/or but could be wrong. if the machine is noisy then the fans will need to be cleaned as it is possible that someone either used it to clean up dry wall with cheap bags or a bag at one point in time had burst. I also second with Vacman on the seal. Sometimes when these machines are opened up the motor will shift and it can shift the seal out of position.

Thanks guys, I will pay special attention to the seal and the fans next time I open the case and motor.

I was going to ask if it runs any warmer,

but you just got it. Does the spin up and spin down sound about right? Just curious. I agree with the others, it's probably in the fan area of the machine or a seal needs positioning, good luck!

I agree with this statement.  Check the motor seal.  Also make sure the hose isn't leaking assuming you are measuring from the hose.
